Dr. Huyen Hoang
Dr. Huyen graduated from the University of Colorado Dental School in 2004 with a D.D.S. degree. She attended the University of Denver and Deakin University. Dr. Huyen received a B.S. degree in Biology-Chemistry. She is an active member of the Colorado Dental Association and the Metro Denver Dental Society. Kid’s Dental has had the pleasure of working with Dr. Huyen since 2007. She is fluent in both English and Vietnamese and enjoys spending time with her husband Steve, daughter Addison and son Brady.
Dr. Sonya Villarreal
Dr. Sonya is a native from Mexico. She moved to the United States in 1998 and attended Northern Arizona University where she earned a B.S. in Microbiology. She later received her D.D.S. degree from the University of Colorado Dental School in 2004. Dr. Sonya joined the Kid’s Dental team in 2012 after moving here from practicing in Arizona. She enjoys traveling to other countries, horseback riding, spending time with friends and going back home to Mexico to visit her family.
Dr. Leann Yoda Bachler
Dr. Leann Yoda Bachler is from Atlanta, Georgia and received her Doctorates of Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1999. She continued her studies at the UAB School of Public Health, where she received her Master’s. Dr. Yoda’s interest in public health led her to join the US Public Health Service, where she was assigned as a General Dentist on a native American reservation in Bellingham, Washington. During this time, she also taught at the University of Washington’s Department of Dental Public Health and practiced as a General Dentist.
Her strong feelings about access to care for children convinced her that she should go back to school to specialize as a Pediatric Dentist. She then attended the University of Washington, where she received her Master’s of Science and certificate in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Yoda has lectured to medical students about the importance of oral health in children at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and taught pediatric dental residents at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
She lives in the Colorado Springs area and is recently married to Lt. Col. David Bachler- retired Assistant Professor of History at the United States Air Force Academy. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband hiking the incline, skiing the local slopes, taking tango lessons, and learning to fly fish in the local streams around Colorado Springs.
